Off To Work

Wow!  It seems like it's been a while since I've posted anything on here.  We have been super busy with planting season, beginning haying, gardening, a kitchen makeover, general farm and cattle work and a few extra curriculars.  Seems like we wake up in the morning and before we know it, it's bedtime again and we've seemingly filled every minute of the day working on something.  We've been enjoying the warmer weather and being able to be outdoors as much as possible.

This post is going to be a short one.  Sarah Rose has become quite the Daddy's girl.  She begs to go out to work with Daddy everyday and because Daddy's heart just melts at her tears when he has to say no, he says yes every chance he gets. Sometimes when Josh is working in the shop, he can take both kids and they entertain themselves with their things in the shop.   But usually when Josh is working in the field, he can only take one at a time, if that (depending on which tractor he's using).  Usually it's Caleb that heads out with Josh because he's older and can handle more for a longer period of time.  This morning, however, both kids got permission to go out first thing in the morning with Josh.  Josh and Loren were going to be chopping hay, a two tractor job.  So both kids were going to be able to ride along, one with Josh and one with Papa.  After getting everyone dressed, scolded to be careful, hugged and kissed goodbye and promised to see them with a picnic lunch in the field in a few hours, I sent them out the door and watched as this scene unfolded:

There goes the three people I love the most in this whole wide world!  It makes this mama's heart burst with joy to see her children grow in the love of farming that they have.  They would spend every minute of every day working with Daddy if they could!  It makes me even more grateful for the life that we live!  I thank God for the blessings in my life, and this picture sums up more than I could ever explain with words!
