Looking for Deals

I don't know anyone these days that doesn't appreciate a good deal.  I think most of us are bargain hunters, always having an eye out for the best buy we can get.  Well, last week I found a super one! 

I had to go to the mall to get my rings resized.... two pregnancies and many pounds later, I was ready to have my engagement and wedding rings back on!  So anyway, I was at the jewelry store picking up my rings (which were resized for free!) and something told me to check out Penney's just across the way.  Unless I'm looking for something specific, I never go to Penney's.  "Too rich for my blood", as the old poker saying goes.  But I had a few minutes and I thought "Well, why not?". 

So Sarah and I had looked pretty well through every clearance rack in the children's section not having found anything.  But there was one more rack to go through in the older boys' section and I found.....

...dress shirts for Caleb!  On big time sale!  I chose five in his size for next spring and summer.  Part of deal finding is not going over board and hoarding, so I stopped myself at five.  But he should be set for the 2012 warm weather seasons.

That's a mighty long receipt for just five shirts!  The original price had to be recorded, followed by four markdowns for each shirt!



Its kind of blurry, but the point of the picture is the total was $10.54 and it says I saved $80.10!   The shirts were regular  $17.98 marked down to $1.50.  Now really...do they need to be that expensive to start with?
