Part 2 of the 3 posts about Easter.
Easter morning was spent like every other Sunday morning: sleeping in 'til 7:00 (except Josh, who has to get up extra early to finish chores in time for Sunday School), eating breakfast, getting dressed, doing hair, coffee on the go and away to church we go... except we had to squeeze in Easter baskets in there somewhere. Somehow, someway, we managed to do all this (Sarah's hair even took an extra long time because I curled it for Easter) and still made it to church on time without getting up earlier or cutting anything out. I'm still not sure how we did it, but it was a success!

So excited! Caleb's even "helping" Sarah look through hers AND she's actually LETTING him! |
|
I love love LOVE the look on Caleb's face! He has just discovered his pliers holder!
Caleb got his pliers holder, a slingshot, a shirt, and a work belt.
Sarah Rose got a card game, shirt, church shoes, and a watch. |

Sarah adored her 99 cent Barbie version of Go Fish.... "Go Shopping"!
(Anything Barbie, Strawberry Shortcake or princess brings a smile to this girl's face!) |
After Easter baskets (which took all of five minutes), I requested a few nice pictures of the kids. I was so happy when they cooperated and took lovely pictures. I didn't have to ask twice, let alone beg, for pretty smiles like I usually do! They turned out super cute!

There's my babies! |
|
They are growing up so fast! I remember taking Caleb's first Easter picture like it was yesterday. He was two months old, sitting in his little rocking chair, covered with stuffed animals so that only his face peeked out and blended in with the animals. Time goes by so quickly! |
|
Caleb and Sarah are each other's best friends! |
|
Almost brings a tear to my eye! I love my children. I am blessed! |
|
And then they turned silly. |
|
Love them! |
