Sarah Rose is such a precious blessing to us! She is a very determined, independent, loving, empathetic, girly-girl Tomboy, helpful, beautiful, sweet (I could go on and on...) little girl! She makes us smile and laugh everyday with her silly antics, animated voices/comments and playful behavior and amazes us with the motherly nature she naturally has. She can be your best friend or worst enemy (we're really working on that "worst enemy part!). She has a very quick gorgeous smile, but if her feelings get hurt she has an equally quick pouty lip and Precious Moments eyes that fill with tears that will make your heart break. People say that boys and girls are different; we've found this to be true. Caleb was so simple to figure out and we found his likes/dislikes, feelings and favorites with no problem. But Sarah Rose... Sarah is a different story! She is three years old and we're STILL trying to figure her out!
By the way, "Sarah" means princess and she reminds us everyday that she is, indeed, a princess.
Sarah Rose certainly has a few favorite things: she can sit and flip through the Bible for ever so long. Nothing makes her happier than for me to give her permission to take my Bible to her special chair in the toy room so she can "read" it. And if a Bible isn't handy, it has to be a tractor magazine. She loves, loves, LOVES to dress up. If offered the choice of what to wear, it would always be a dress, princess dress preferably. If I don't give her the choice and she starts to dress before I am there to help, many times she'll have her tutu on before anything (ANYTHING!) else. Then she dives in for the high heels (play ones, of course), bracelets, necklaces, gloves, tiaras, etc. She is never far from her babies or her stroller. Most of the time, you will find her nails painted, lip gloss on and hair done. When we get ready to go outside, she begs with those Precious Moments eyes and pouty lip to wear all her fancy things outdoors. I remind her that to get dirty she has to wear her "farm girl clothes" and then she has no problem putting on her jeans, farm girl shoes and hat, ready to get as dirty as she can in the dirt, mud, sand, rocks, climbing equipment, tractor rides... whatever. But once back inside again, she's back to girly self.
What a girl! We love her!
