The Whole Crew!

On Friday, February 10th, we held the first of our birthday celebrations for Sarah and Caleb.  This celebration was with my family from Tama.  And while having my family help celebrate the kids' 3rd and 5th birthdays was great, the extra special significance of this day was that it was the first time ever that my whole family was together at the same time in the same place!  Since us kids have done gone and gotten all growed up, gotten hitched and had young'uns, there have been several reasons that have kept us all from being together.  There have been premature babies born with moms and/or babies hospitalized for an extended amount of time (if you ever need a referance to Iowa City's NICU, we can help with that... I think my brothers' families know the nurses and routines pretty well, unfortunately!), farms that had to be attended to, nasty flus that have hit with terrible timing, inclement weather and in-laws to be with (among other reasons), but today we were one big happy family at last.. and it was wonderful!



There we are!  In the back, from left to right: My sister-in-law Jill with Izella (1),  my other sister-in-law Amanda with Allyson Ann (almost 4 months) my mom with Abigail (3), my dad with Jocelyn (4) and Emma (2).  On the floor, from left to right: my brother Adam, my husband Josh with Caleb (still 4 and the oldest grandbaby), myself with Sarah Rose (still 2) and my brother Josh with Bella (3) and Landyn (3).  We're quite the crew!
