As promised, part two of the Mother's Day post.
Our future silo climber. There was actually a taller slide with a real ladder and Caleb zoomed right up it, but alas I didn't have the camera ready to capture the moment! |
The big hit of the park was the tumbler. Sarah spent about half a minute it in before she had her fill, but Josh and Caleb had a great time. |
Josh would get it tumbling just fast enough that Caleb would lose his footing and ride up the wall until gravity pulled him down. It was all giggles from all of us! |
And then the surfing. Josh was a brave man and accepted a challenge...in his cowboy boots, no less! |
Whoa! Almost has it... |
Standing tall and proud! |
Until the slightest of breezes blew his way.
I'm so thankful to have a husband with a sense of humor and a little bit of kid left in him! |
After many swing rides, slide adventures, monkey bar excursions, merry-go-rounds, sand box diggings, jungle gym exploring and bendy bridge tromps, we went for a walk on the trail going around the park.
During lunch, we "met" a squirrel who was rather tame. On our walk, we met him again, and this time we took a few minutes to play with him. |
On second thought, the squirrel decided he didn't want to be part of our play time. |
Or didn't he? The squirrel came back down the tree and Caleb actually walked up within just a few feet of him and they circled the tree before... |
...the squirrel remembered, like the ducks before, that he could escape the games of the little boy chasing him. |
After our walk, we headed to Graham's for a Mother's Day treat with the two blessings that allow me to celebrate Mother's Day! I love my children! |
