This is Sarah's second birthday and the second birthday we've celebrated this week. While the big party for both kids was on Saturday, we can't let the whole day pass without a little partying. We've had our fill of birthday cake, so tonight we will go for ice cream (that is, if our tummies are up to it...) This morning, we opened gifts and had a fun time playing with some new things!

After Josh left this morning, I got the gifts out of hiding and set them on the table...just to tease the kids! They knew they weren't going to open them until Daddy came home for lunch. (Aren't I so mean!?!?) But it didn't phase them a bit...they "oooohed" and "aaaahed" and then went on their merry way. If you're curious, the gifts were a Mr. Potato head for Caleb and some play food for Sarah. |

And George is back. I finally remembered to take their birthday pictures. |

Sarah spent the morning changing the baby's diaper. The dolly must be a newborn, because the diaper was on and off and on and off at least two dozen times! (By the way, I'd appreciate it if you'll ignore the laundry that I was halfway through folding, but Sarah was so cute taking care of the baby that I couldn't let a little laundry basket ruin a memory!) |
|
Boys will be boys! As soon as Caleb found the chicken leg in the play food, he knew exactly who needed to be fed lunch. T-Rex is used to getting a baby bottle fed to him by Sarah, so I'm sure he was very appreciative of the meat (even if it was chicken)! |

Funny how such simple objects can keep kids entertained for such a long time! We spent the rest of the lunch hour mixing different juices for Daddy to try. Each kid would pick something to add to the pitcher, Sarah would shake it up, and then we'd pour it into cups for Daddy to taste. Much to Josh's delight, almost every combination involved bacon! |
