Randomness and Silliness

There are many things that we do in our own homes that wouldn't really mean alot to anyone outside our own family.  The pictures I put on this post are mostly to preserve some memories as a reminder to tell the kids later when they (hopefully) come back to look at this when they're older.

There is only so much room on my lap.  At this particular time, Alec (the munchkin I babysit) was a little under the weather and wanted some alone cuddle time on my lap.  So Sarah and Caleb came up with a solution to sitting with Mama.  My legs are sticking straight out with a little bottom planted on each one, watching Super Grover save the day.  They sat there a LONG time!

On another day, Sarah and Alec both were filling a little icky and spent a lot of time on my lap.  So what do I do with Caleb, who wants equal attention?  Play with the camera, of course!  We were in fits of giggles while taking these pictures but, somehow, the two little ones managed to fall asleep anyway:

Who wants a smooch?

Say "cheese"!  I'll say!

How's my pearly whites lookin'?

Do you see what I see?

One of the giggle fits...attractive, I know.

Caleb's gangsta look.  Hey, he tries!  He's just too cute and sweet to look authentic gangster.

The next set of photos were taken on a Sunday afternoon of playing outside.  What do you do with a building pad with no building on it?  Why, the answers are obvious...

First, you MUST take the trike for a ride!  I love how Caleb looks like he's on a mission in this picture.

Playing Chicken.

And then we started a soccer game.  The weather was quite chilly this particular Sunday, so the running back and forth kept us quite warm.

On a different day, after many days in a row of chilly weather and stuffy colds in our house, we were desparate for new activities.  So I broke out my harmonica and recorder.  Talk about noise!  Can you imagine?  I think I have a couple of future musicians on my hands!!!

Future little Open Dooritos!

And with any good music, you of course need a little dinner.  The kids are making pizza balls, pizza dough with the filling stuffed inside.  They had a good time making the pizza, I had a (not so) good time cleaning up the mess, but it was worth it.

Looks delicious!
