One Post at a Time

Our new building is coming along nicely.  There is a crew of five men working on it, showing up early (7:00ish) and working until near dark.  I've learned alot watching the building go up and am considering changing my career path to something in construction.  Okay, maybe not.  But it is fascinating to watch how hard these men work and how precise and careful their work is.

Day Two:  The workers spent the second day framing out the building.  (Day one was putting up the post the building is being built around.)

Still day two, the men were climbing over every thing, hammering and whacking away putting up the frame.  No Fear.

Day Three:  The men finished the framing the walls and put the trusses up.  It was a pretty windy day but the guys were on top of the building all day, catching the trusses and putting them in place.

Just another view of day three.  If you look closely, you can see at least one worker hanging around....literally.

The kids can only watch slow work so long, so we looked for other things to do.  If afraid this will be the last 2010 picture with the kids and the tether ball....let's hope I'm wrong!

And then Dr. Seuss joined us and the game of tether ball was history.

I wonder what Caleb was thinking in this picture.  Probably wondering when coffee time was going to be!  Sarah Rose was thoroughly excited to have both the cat and her big brother to play with.
