Now That's One Thankful Turkey!

With the weather starting to be a wee bit more extreme, we're looking for more crafty things to do inside.  With Thanksgiving being just around the corner, what better to make than a thankful turkey?

Caleb cutting out the feathers for Ol' Tom.

Still cutting.  Do you see how Caleb is sitting with his legs in a "W" position.  Well, I guess this isn't very good for a little one's legs and we've been working on it.  But he was concentrating so hard on cutting the feather just right that I didn't have the heart to distract him.

Still cutting....

Caleb colored the turkey's body while I drew the feathers to be cut out.  Once the body and feathers were done, we broke out the stapler and Sarah decided that our craft was finally fun enough to do!

Here's Gobbler all stapled together, complete with 3D beak and gobblers.

Not sure if you can make out the verse we put on him, but "...give thanks to Him and praise His name." from Psalm 100:4 seemed fitting for Thanksgiving!

Then we each took turns saying what we were thankful for.  Caleb was very sweet and his first answer was "that Sarah loves me"!  To get Sarah's answers, we just kept listing things until she lit up and squealed

Things we're thankful for this year (starting from the left and going clockwise):
-That Sarah loves me  (Caleb)
-Hugs and kisses (Sarah)
-My beautiful and handsome, healthy family (Mommy)
-My family and our health (Copycat...um...er...I mean Daddy)
-My dolly (Sarah)
-Mommy and Daddy (Caleb)
-The blessings of my job  (Daddy)
-God's love (Mommy)
