Up until recently, Sarah Rose was perfectly content to wear whatever I picked out for her for the day. She happily dressed herself and happily wore it, no questions. Since most of her clothes are very girly anyway, I never had any problems with her complaining that what I picked out wasn't princess-y enough. However....
However, that changed within the past week. One morning, she decided that she was going to pick out her own clothes... which would have been perfectly okay, had she not decided at the last minute that this was the morning to start. Unfortunately for Sarah, we were on a schedule and I couldn't permit her request. Thus started the beginning of what might be a life long issue with style, complete with tears and shrieks of disappointment. I now know that Sarah picks out her own clothes (at least from the options I give her) and allow time for the inevitably lengthy decision making.
For those of you who claim that Sarah is so sweet (she is!) and could never pitch a fit, observe...

Pleeeeeeeease, Mommy! Pleeeeeeeease don't make me wear my favorite princess shirt! Not today! |

I'll do ANYTHING, just so I don't have to wear my favorite princess shirt that you picked out because you knew it was my favorite. Pleeeeeeeese!? |

Isn't that just about the saddest thing you've ever seen? She got over it and life moved on, though. And yes, she's picked out her clothes every morning since. |
