Saturday, October 1st, we had our first party to officially welcome Baby B (B for Borcherding) to the family. Rhonda (Kristin's mother) and I hosted a babyshower for Kristin and my future neice or nephew, due mid November. I think a great time was had by all, showering Kristin with fellowship, advice and many lovely gifts!

This is the diaper cake from Rhonda and I. It turned out super cute and it was great fun to make! |
Playing the dirty diaper game: inside each diaper is a melted candy bar meant to resemble, well.... you know! The ladies had to look at and smell each diaper to decipher what kind of candy bar was in each one. |
Take a deep whiff, Grandma! That baby's acomin' soon and you may just well be on diaper duty... be assured, it won't be as pleasant a smell as melted chocolate! |
Three generations playing a game: in the middle is Kristin, on the left is Kristin's mother Rhonda and to her right is Kristin's grandmother (Rhonda's mother), Marilyn. |
Family and friends playing still more games. |
The food. Yummy! |
Mighty colorful cupcakes there! |
And the blessings of the gifts! |
After the shower, Sarah finally got a chance to play on the playground...something she had been begging for the whole time!
