Once upon a time, Sarah Rose would sit beside me on the high side of the piano and tinker along as I played a song. Now, she's taken over the piano. Many times, I will be in the kitchen cooking lunch while listening to her "play" in the adjoining office where the piano is at. It looks as though she might be following in her mother's footsteps. I started lessons at age five, and while Sarah's a tad young to be doing lessons she certainly has an interest!

She didn't know I was taking a picture! |

And she wasn't very happy with me when she saw the flash. |

After giving me a good lecture about not taking her picture, she continued looking for "Jesus on the Cross" ("The Old Rugged Cross"). From looking at this picture, I really have no idea exactly HOW she was sitting on the bench and what kept her from falling off!

Depending on what I'm playing, she'll come into the office to either 1) sit on the steps that lead upstairs to clap along and dance, or 2) dance like a ballerina. I'm thrilled she enjoys it as much as she does!
